Face covers with the MUG logo

Ten thousand reusable face covers with the logo of the Medical University of Gdańsk will soon be delivered to the University students, Ph.D. students and employees. This is the result of cooperation established between the MUG and LPP company.

–The safety of our students, Ph.D. students and employees is of prime concern to me – says Prof. Marcin Gruchała, Rector of the MUG. – Thanks to good cooperation with the LPP, face covers were sewed, which, in addition to their exceptional aesthetic values, fulfil their main function, i.e. counteract the spread of the SARS-CoV-2 virus. Let us remember to wear the covers. It is the best way of protecting not only ourselves but also our our loved ones.

–It was a very spontaneous project. When we learned about the initiative of providing students, Ph.D. students and employees of the University with face covers, which are now an inseparable element of our lives, we decided to support it without a moment’s thought – explains Marek Piechocki, CEO of the LPP. We purchased knitwear, proceeded with the covers’ design and commissioned the production of 10 thousand pieces. I am very happy that they will go to those who have the future of medicine in their hands.

The covers are made of 100% cotton to ensure maximum wearing comfort. They come with a natural fibre pouch bag and a bilingual instruction of use, printed on ecological paper. The whole set is packed in a cardboard box. Designed in accordance with contemporary trends, the covers come in both male and female variants.
